"A Virgin Life" 

..Seemed a bit slut-shamey to me. Jane Barker raves about virginity and modesty while comparing women who aren't virgins to kids running into a lion's den, suggesting that sexually active women have no control over their own actions--as if they are all naive about their sexual behavior, submitting to men rather than making their own sexual choices. She pretentiously describes the state of being a virgin as angelical, divine, and celestial (all words with religious connotation), while suggesting that non-virgins "fling themselves away", again implying lack of control or conscious thought. I think it would be a decent piece celebrating virginity had it not been so condescendingly written.
