Uses of the erotic: The Erotic as Power

When I was reading this, I starting laughing when I was reading page 537, the last paragraph that starts with; "Of course, women so empowered are dangerous." I thought it was funny to think about...do people and so men specifically really think that a women in power is really dangerous or are they just afraid that we'll out do their work capability and people will finally see that women can do just as much as them?  My mom and dad growing up would always make jokes about women being better then men (seeing that my dad was out numbered 5 to 1). My mom would always talk about how women can multitask and men can only do one thing at a time. But when I read this quote I started to think do men really think about all this. Do they really think that a women, who is in charge and so called "powerful" really threaten their lives as they know it or are they just being dramatic and don't want to give women the titles and or status, if that's the right word, we deserve?
